I hold a joint appointment at the University of Michigan in Psychiatry and Philosophy. My research examines agency, decision, and self-control from cross-disciplinary perspectives.
María Alejandra Grisales Franco

I am an anthropologist graduated from the Universidad Externado de Colombia, and a philosopher in training. My academic interests revolve around cognitive anthropology, philosophy of mind, and Neurosciences. For this reason, I developed my undergraduate thesis on the experience of love in emotional contagion and brain synchronization from a neurophenomenological perspective.

I am a Research Excellence Faculty Scholar at the University of Toronto, holding the position of Professor in the Department of Psychology with a cross-appointment as Professor in the Department of Marketing at the Rotman School of Management. My research interests are situated at the intersections of social psychology, cognitive science, and neuroscience, and I actively conduct research in these domains.
